1600KM NONSTOP RELAY
BOYS FURTHER: THE ROAD CONTINUES
Some journeys are measured by distance.
Others are measured by what they inspire along the way.
Boys Further is the next chapter in the growing movement of Bone Hammer Projects — a nonstop 1600 kilometre cycling relay from Cape Agulhas to Pretoria Boys High School undertaken in support of educational opportunity.
What began as an ambitious idea quickly became something larger:
a continuation of a philosophy built around endurance, resilience, leadership, sacrifice, and purpose-driven challenge.
FROM THE SOUTHERNMOST POINT
In July 2026, three cyclists set out to attempt a nonstop relay from the southernmost tip of Africa back to Pretoria Boys High School.
The team includes:
- Chris Oldnall,
- Wade Grundy,
- and Glen Grundy,
supported by:
- Luke Allan,
- Jacques Kunz,
- and the wider Bone Hammer Projects support team.
The challenge will cover approximately 1600 kilometres over multiple days without stopping — with riders rotating in relay format while the team continues moving forward around the clock.
No pause.
No reset.
No shortcuts.
Just endurance, teamwork, and relentless forward momentum.
ENDURANCE ON THE OPEN ROAD
The purpose behind Boys Further extends far beyond cycling itself.
The initiative exists to help create educational opportunity for boys with limited resources through Pretoria Boys High School’s Legacy Program.
Every kilometre ridden represents:
- support,
- awareness,
- sacrifice,
- and the belief that endurance can become meaningful impact.
The ride continues the mission established through previous Bone Hammer Projects initiatives:

Sleep deprivation, exhaustion, weather, physical fatigue, and mental pressure will become part of the challenge as the team pushes continuously toward Pretoria.
